In Malacca, two prominent landmarks hotels have closed for past 2 years or longer.
One is the former Ramada Hotel and the other is the former Equatorial Hotel.
It is such a waste that these prime properties are left redundant.
Maybe, the owners can revitalize these properties into residences for lease for long term stay for tourists and retirement residences.
Some floors can be used for elderly and some floors for tourists.
Both properties have medical centres within their premises.
Ramada is located near Putra Medical Center and former Equatorial Hotel is near Mahkota Medical Center at Bandar Hilir.
Since Malaysia is heading towards an aging nation by 2030, planners and developers can convert vacant premises into hybrid properties for elderly care residences and for medical tourism.
