Melaka Tourism Players Told To Prepare Attractive Packages

MELAKA, April 22 (Bernama) -- Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam urged state tourism industry players to prepare attractive tourism packages that could lure more tourists to the state.

He said there were many tourism products that should be promoted aggressively to get more tourists to come and stay longer in Melaka.

He chided them for just relying on the government's initiatives to bring domestic and international tourists to the state.

"I have told them a long time ago, but the package that we want is till not available," he said at a tourism dialogue here Friday.

Last year, Melaka recorded 10.35 million tourist arrivals and hoped to increase the number to 11 million this year.
