Development has started at Kampung Jawa.
The new owner of this Kampung Jawa area land opposite Hatten mall has started to demolish any standing buildings on the land.
The temple and other operators have also been asked to move out by the dateline.
A mixed development of commercial buildings and shops will be built soon.
The upstairs library space at Kee Ann Road is taking shape.
Books on shelves and tables and chairs as well.
The space besides the mosque at Bunga Raya Road just before Kee Ann Road junction is being cleared up.
Hopefully, the space can become a makan space with live band performance stage.

About time for enhancing our gateway to Bunga Raya and Kee Ann Roads.
In Hong Kong, there is a school that was originally established in Malacca in 1818 by Robert Morrison. It moved to Hong Kong in 1843 after it became a British colony.
The name of the school is Ying Wa College.
In Malacca, it started as the Anglo-Chinese College.
Hong Kong's Ying Wa College originated in Malacca, and its predecessor was the "Anglo-Chinese College" (the original name was also "Anglo-Chinese College").
The connection between the two is as follows:
📜 The Relationship is "Predecessor and Successor"
· Origin in Malacca: In 1818, missionaries Robert Morrison and William Milne founded the "Anglo-Chinese College" in Malacca (then under Dutch control), which was the predecessor of Ying Wa College.
· Relocation to Hong Kong: In 1843, following the cession of Hong Kong, the college was relocated from Malacca to Hong Kong and later became today's "Ying Wa College".
⚠️ One Point to Note
Although the predecessor was located in Malacca, the "Anglo-Chinese College" established there in 1818 was not the "Anglo-Chinese School" in Malacca that exists today. The latter is a different school founded by the Methodists in the 1910s.
Therefore, the Malacca period is regarded as the root of Hong Kong's Ying Wa College. The school has also organized "root-seeking" visits to Malacca in recent years.
New hospital to be built at Bukit Katil.
KUALA LUMPUR: Southern Score Builders Bhd has secured a RM180 million contract to undertake the main building works for a private hospital development in Bukit Katil, Melaka.
Work is scheduled to begin on Oct 15, 2026, with a contract period of 19 months and completion targeted for May 14, 2028.
The contract covers constructing a seven-storey private hospital, a three-storey car park, a mechanical and electrical utility building, a pump house, a waste house and a VIE tank facility.
HATTEN MALL is opened for Rental.
Hopefully, HATTEN MALL can get an anchor tenant such as Village Grocer, NSK, Lotus for the space.
By doing so, more crowd can visit Kee Ann Road and HATTEN MALL.
