USS Nimitz aircraft carrier passes through Malacca Straits

The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz is headed to the Middle East to boost the US presence as Israel and Iran do battle.


At 13:45 GMT, the carrier was traveling through the Malacca Strait toward the Indian Ocean, according to Marine Traffic, a ship-tracking site.


This deployment comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, with the Nimitz joining the USS Carl Vinson in the region.

RIVER BOAT STAYS ON MELAKA RIVER?



To enhance Melaka attractions on the Melaka River,  it is possible for limited river boat  stay for visitors. 

Boat residents have to use onland water closets and showers. They can only be allowed to stay on board the boats overnight. 

Portable WCs can be used on the boat but their contents cannot be disposed into the river but into inland WCs only.

Limited onboard cooking is allowed.

Solar powered LED lights can be used for carbon free environment. 

Boat residents can experience their unique stay onboard these river boats.
